We will be meeting at the Riley Wilderness Park at 6:30 p.m. We will be completing one of the First-Class requirements to complete an orienteering course that covers at least 1 mile and requires measuring the height and/or width of designated items (tree, Tower, Canyon, ditch, etc.). Please be there at 6:30 p.m. with the following items:
- full BSA approved uniform (shirt, pants or shorts, belt and socks) - the approved activity T-shirt is fine for this outdoor activity;
- Boy Scout Handbook (review pages 66-74);
- compass; and
- 10 Essentials (p. 224 of the BSA Handbook).
We will provide the maps. Your Scout will be brought home by 8:30 p.m.
